5 Beauty mistakes to avoid before your wedding day

Eyebrow Treatments

Eyebrow waxing, tinting and laminating should all be done at least a week before your wedding day, this allows enough time to reduce redness, remove tint from your skin and treat grazes that you can sometimes get through waxing. Freshly waxed skin can make it really hard for the makeup to stay on, so don’t make the mistake of booking this too late and not having enough downtime before your wedding day.

Spray tans

I always recommend if your thinking of having a spray tan for your special day you should trial it out at least 8 weeks before your wedding day, just incase the colour is too dark or your left with a patchy tan. I would always advise having a spray tan or using a self tan over sunbeds and sunbathing. UV rays can be very ageing and leave your skin damaged causing pigmentation, and increase the risk of skin cancer.

Facials

Facials are a great way to get your skin looking top tip on the run up to your wedding, I recommend starting these 3-4 months before so your skin can get used to new products especially if your on the sensitive side. booking a facial if you don’t normally have them a week before the wedding day is a definite no no in case of a reaction or breakout. Visit a reputable skin clinic and always check reviews before booking.

Botox and filler

If you fancy a few little tweakments for the big day have these around 2 months before, botox can take up to 2 weeks to kick in and by doing it in advance you can correct any potential issues.

Not having a trial for your hair and makeup

Always have a trial for your hair and makeup, even if you don’t have much time and its a few days before the wedding. You don’t want to be stressed on the wedding morning if your hair and makeup isn’t what you imagined. Come prepared to your trial with inspiration photos and photos of yourself with makeup on. This will give the hair and makeup artist lots of information to work with, ask as many questions as possible and try different looks if your not completely happy.
